In Ukraine Management of natural resources and water resources is regulated by a relevant legal framework consisting of laws, decrees, by-laws and other normative acts. The following laws with regard to management of water resources are currently in force:

Law on Environmental Protection
This law determines legal, economic and social framework for the environmental protection in the interest of present and future generation.  

Law on Health Resorts
This law determines legal, organizational, economic and social background for the development
of health resorts in Ukraine. The law is directed to the provision of use of the natural medicinal resources, natural territories, which are Ukrainian people acquisition, and their protection with the aim of medical treatment and sanitation of people.

Law on Ecological Expertise
The relationships in the area of ecological expertise are regulated by this Law, Law on the environmental protection and other legal acts of Ukraine. The objective of the legislation on the ecological expertise is to regulate public relationships in the area of ecological expertise for the provision of ecological safety, environmental protection, rational use and reproduction of natural resources, protection of ecological rights and interests of citizens and the state.  

Water Code of Ukraine
Water Code in complex with activities of organizational, legal, economic and educational influence will help to form water-ecological law and order and provision of ecological safety of the Ukrainian population as well as more effective use of water and it’s protection from the pollution, choking up and exhaustion.

Land Code of Ukraine
This code and other legal acts of Ukraine and Republic of Crimea, which are published with regard to it, regulate land relationships in Ukraine.
