Baltic Cruises: Northern Europe From The Water

Baltic cruises are a must for people who want to see Europe’s treasures. While all of Europe has undoubtedly grown, some of its countries have kept the charm that makes you say to yourself “I am in a special place.” A Baltic cruise can take you places that have the old European look. While most of the tourists from the US are heading to London and Paris, people in France and the UK are heading to other destinations in Europe, and now you have a chance to see why those destinations are as popular as they are in the old continent.

What can I see in a Baltic Cruise?

The Baltic States are Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, but Baltic cruises show you a lot more than that. A Baltic cruise can take you to up to ten different countries, and that is what’s so exciting about it. Denmark, Sweden, Latvia, Finland, Norway, Poland, Russia, Estonia, Germany and Lithuania can all be included in a Baltic cruise. Think of all the different cultures you can experience in the same trip. Some of those countries you probably had not put on your “must visit” list but they will change your mind.

Why is the Baltic cruise so exciting?

You will be seeing all of Europe’s history in this one single trip. The oldest monarchies and democracies that are in their infancy are all included when you take Baltic cruises. It is the chance of a lifetime, to live and learn about cities that have been famous and infamous in the history of the world. Europe may be a compact continent and several countries may be in a smaller area than we are used to, but the cultures, though close together are so different. You can be in the middle of all of that when you take a Baltic cruise.

The best time to go

Because of the changes in weather (northern Europe can get really cold in the winter) Baltic cruises operate from May to September. The best time to go is any time you choose to go during those months as the weather does not change much. Be ready for unpredictable weather though, while you will not be cold, Baltic States have weather that likes to throw in a surprise here and there. But the beauty of the places you will visit will make up for it, and if you are not that proficient in European languages, not to fear, a lot of people in the Baltic cruises route speak English.
