These smaller ships can go through smaller places, navigating coves and channels to reach more remote areas, and offering a closer view on the environment and sights than a large cruise ship. How Small Ship Cruises Differ From Large Cruise Ships

The ships themselves in adventure cruises are much smaller than traditional cruise ships, carrying between 50 and 175 passengers instead of the usual 2000 to 5000. This gives the ship the ability to access different areas and get closer to scenery that, due to size, a larger cruise ship simply cannot go to.
